NEC FE2111SB CRT VGA Computer Monitor This listing is for a NEC (Mitsubishi) SuperBright Diamondtron 21" CRT VGA PC computer monitor . This monitor is one of the holy grails for many CRT collectors. Sporting the better-than-a-Sony-FD-Trinitron-clone Diamondtron a perture grille flat CRT technology with "SuperBright" functionality & a stylish & unique blue-ish black rounded chassis, this 21" behemoth will fill your entire field of view with the highest-resolution image with the brightest, most vivid colors you've ever seen on a CRT display. The official specifications for this monitor sport compatibility for an insane maximum resolution of  1920 x 1440 @ 76 Hz and the insane refresh rate of 160 Hz for resolutions up to 800 x 600; however, people have been able to "overclock" this monitor beyond specifications! This monitor connects to your PC via analog VGA. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR USE CASE FOR THIS MONITOR FEATURES VGA OUTPUT. The monitor  TURNS ON AND WORKS . I lightly used this monitor as a secondary screen back in the early 2010's with a 9800GTX, and I loved playing games and watching Blu-Rays on it due to how smooth and involving the visual quality of the monitor is. To this day, the image is sharp, bright, and clear with vivid color. In addition, the geometry is great and nearly perfect except for tiny little wave near the very top edges the screen (which could probably be worked out with the extensive geometry controls in the menu). The auto-screen fill feature works great. The SuperBright feature is incredible and must be seen to believe. There appear to be no functional issues of any kind. I will be sad to see this go, but as it hasn't been used regularly in over 10 years, I just can't afford to store it any longer. Please see the pictures to see the unit turned on and outputting video from the VGA input (at 1600x1200) and see the test patterns with SuperBright mode 2 enabled (picture 3) and disabled (picture 4)! The monitor is in GREAT CONDITION . The main & most notable flaws are the scratches near the FE2111SB logo on the front bezel, near the power light, and along the right side. This is from storing the monitor face down. While, the scratches can be noticeable, they are not distracting in use. The glass itself is nearly perfect except for one very small scratch that can be felt with a fingernail but can't be seen unless a bright light at a very, very specific sharp angle is shined onto the screen (see the last picture). It was also noted that a small clip on the bottom bezel of the monitor is broken off but it doesn't seem to affect anything. Finally, there is some dust/dirt in the vents & crevices of the monitor. For a 20 year old monitor, it is in great overall condition. Please see the pictures to see the condition of the unit for yourself! NOTE THAT NO COMPUTER, MANUALS, ETC ARE INCLUDED .  You will receive a VGA cable and three-prong US power cable. SHIPPING NOTE : This is a very large, heavy glass set with a plastic chassis (over 64 lbs for the monitor loose). As a result, it will be packaged very well in double-walled 24x24x24 cardboard box if shipped. Tracking, insurance, and signature confirmation is also included for peace of mind. I have shipped a number of CRT TVs & monitors and never received complaints, but shipping is very expensive as a result.
